Our Story of Care
Since opening our doors in 1984, K.C.’s 24 Hr Child Care Center has been dedicated to providing children and families with a safe, loving, and nurturing place to learn, grow, and thrive. We began as a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week child care center, serving families who needed care around the clock. As the needs of our families have changed over the years, so have we. Today, we proudly provide quality child care Monday through Friday, from 5:00 AM to 8:30 PM. While our hours may have changed, our commitment to children and families has remained the same for more than four decades. At K.C.’s, we believe every child deserves to feel loved, supported, and encouraged as they learn, play, and grow.

Kathie Cain, Founder
Ms. Kathie established KC’s in September 1984, spending over 40 years nurturing local families with high-quality, loving childcare.
Hayley Cox, Director
An alumna of Athens Tech's ECE program since 2022, Mrs. Hayley brings 7 years of dedication to families, including 6 years of expertise in leadership positions.
Catherine Tumlin, Assistant Director
Tyler Cain, Assistant Director
Connie Warren, Front Desk Staff
Mrs. Cat earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Kennesaw State University in 2017 and brings 7 years of experience in early childhood administration.
Mr. Tyler has been part of KC’s for 21 years and oversees our transportation and maintenance operations.
Mrs. Connie is our closing manager, known for her patient, loving nature and the warm, reassuring presence she brings to families and staff at the end of each day.
