Our Philosophy

At KC’s 24 Hour Child Care Center, we believe that every child is unique, capable, and deserving of respect, patience, encouragement, and quality care. We believe children learn best when they feel safe, secure, accepted, and valued. A child who feels comfortable and supported is better able to explore their environment, build relationships, try new things, and develop a love for learning. We believe that play is an important part of childhood and learning. Through play and hands-on experiences, children have opportunities to develop their imagination, communication skills, problem-solving abilities, social skills, coordination, and independence.

We believe children should be guided with consistency, patience, positive reinforcement, and age-appropriate expectations. Our goal is to teach children appropriate ways to express their feelings, communicate their needs, solve problems, and interact respectfully with others. We also believe that children thrive when families and child-care providers work together. Parents and guardians know their children best, and our staff brings knowledge and experience in early childhood care and development.

By working together and maintaining open communication, we can better support each child's individual needs. We recognize that each child develops at their own pace. We strive to meet children where they are while providing opportunities to help them grow socially, emotionally, physically, cognitively, and academically. Above all, our philosophy is centered on one simple belief: Children deserve to be safe, loved, respected, encouraged, and given the opportunity to learn and grow.
